Capturing strategy with BYOK

BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) lets you drive Facilitator sessions with your own Anthropic, OpenAI, or self-hosted model keys. A limited chat-based version shipped in v1. It is kept alive for existing users but not recommended for new projects while the next version is being built.

Accessing existing v1 BYOK sessions

If you ran BYOK sessions before, they remain accessible at /projects/[projectId]/sessions/byok/[sessionId] in the web UI. The session list on the project sidebar includes BYOK sessions.

What is coming in 2026

• Web UI — in-browser sessions, same visual language as the rest of the AlienMonster app.
• CLI — alienmonster session command to start a session with your own model keys from the terminal.
• Broader model support — Anthropic, OpenAI, and self-hosted (via OpenAI-compatible endpoints).

Alternatives today

Use Claude.ai as the primary path. For users who need to stay on their own inference, wait for the 2026 release.
